Hudson’s first boat ride weekend! (April 14th)

We rented a boat for the weekend and went out on the lake with both sets of grandparents.

Hudson wasn’t too thrilled with the life jacket he had to wear but he loved sitting in the driver seat with both grandfathers.

At least he knows what is fun! We had fun just being on the water for a while and look forward to enjoying the lake more this summer.

Easter Time

This Easter we spent the weekend with the Thruston’s and McGhee’s. Hudson had fun playing with cousin Claire, dying Easter eggs with Mom, and hanging with Aunt Emily.

Outdoor Adventures

Last weekend we went on a family outing to the Blue Ridge Parkway which is about 29 minutes from our house. I grew up going to the parkway and Phil and I love to go in hikes so we are in a perfect location. Hudson loves to be outside and see what’s going on around him. He also loves to feel the wind in his hair. While we were hiking it was so cute to hear him cooing about what he was seeing or laughing occasionally.
Here are some pictures of the amazing mountain views from the parkway, Roanoke mountain, and Mill mountain.

Here are some recent pics of Hudson being silly. He is starting to get a personality and ut is so fun to watch! His laugh is contagious and so funny to hear.
We are really enjoying our new place. The weather had been amazing and we have been able to enjoy the outdoors and the swings on the property. More posts on that another day.

Hudson’s first tooth came in today! He has suffered through it as well as mom and dad. Thank goodness for Hylands tablets. Tonight he enjoyed a homemade banana teething pop and loved it!
Hudson and I went to a park play date today and it was so hot. 83 degrees in March is just crazy and however we have been trying to enjoy it as much as we can.

Hudson tried out his first swing experience at AI DuPont Children’s Hospital before his Post Op appointment. Since our move he has enjoyed swings at the Smith Mountain Lake Community Park.

He loves the wind blowing his tiny hairs and just enjoying the scenery. We discovered this on a walk near our new home. Hudson will be 6 months tomorrow and is such a big boy! He is growing up so fast and Phil and I are enjoying watching him grow. He will soon be crawling as he is already pushing himself backwards and forwards on the floor to get to toys and doing some great planks and downward dog yoga moves. Enjoy the pictures of our little monkey.

Moving Day

Out last day out our Wilmington Home, March 9th 2012.

Hudson had been laughing lots recently and I finally got a chance to capture it. It really is the best medicine. Phil and I love his little giggles. Hudson is starting to watch the dogs more and here is also a video of him laughing and talking to them as they are wrestling. We were cracking up the whole time.
He is 22 weeks old or 5 months – however you want to count. Yes I took a 22 week old pic last week by accident bug then took his true 21 week old picture. This mama has way to much going on! We have about three weeks left and then I can relax a bit.
We had a great time catching up with friends this weekend before our big move.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
Hudson is our precious Valentine this year. He has definitely stollen my heart.
He has already gotten valentine cards from Nana & Papa and aunt Donna & uncle Sam!
Hudson also helped me make a card for Phil. Phil loved it and all the packing that I have done. 4 weeks left of packing.
Hudson is 5 months old this week. He is eating lots of his veggies and some fruits now. Hudson is also moving around on his belly lots….up next will be crawling. Lord help us! His laugh is so contagious you can’t help but laugh along with him.

We are moving!

So many of you know by now we are moving to Smith Mountain Lake, VA. It is about 30 min to Roanoke from where we will be living. Phil got a great job with the Roanoke Times do we are taking the opportunity to move closer to some of Stacey’s family and enjoy some mountain views.
We will be moving in mid March but have a ton to do between now and then. We will miss our friends and family in the Delaware area but are very excited about our new adventure as a family. We will be back to visit no worries.
Stay tuned for updates on the move and once we are there we will send pictures. Phil picked the place out without Stacey seeing it except a few pictures. Hopefully we have similar taste.
