Hudson’s Laughs

Hudson had been laughing lots recently and I finally got a chance to capture it. It really is the best medicine. Phil and I love his little giggles. Hudson is starting to watch the dogs more and here is also a video of him laughing and talking to them as they are wrestling. We were cracking up the whole time.
He is 22 weeks old or 5 months – however you want to count. Yes I took a 22 week old pic last week by accident bug then took his true 21 week old picture. This mama has way to much going on! We have about three weeks left and then I can relax a bit.
We had a great time catching up with friends this weekend before our big move.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
Hudson is our precious Valentine this year. He has definitely stollen my heart.
He has already gotten valentine cards from Nana & Papa and aunt Donna & uncle Sam!
Hudson also helped me make a card for Phil. Phil loved it and all the packing that I have done. 4 weeks left of packing.
Hudson is 5 months old this week. He is eating lots of his veggies and some fruits now. Hudson is also moving around on his belly lots….up next will be crawling. Lord help us! His laugh is so contagious you can’t help but laugh along with him.

We are moving!

So many of you know by now we are moving to Smith Mountain Lake, VA. It is about 30 min to Roanoke from where we will be living. Phil got a great job with the Roanoke Times do we are taking the opportunity to move closer to some of Stacey’s family and enjoy some mountain views.
We will be moving in mid March but have a ton to do between now and then. We will miss our friends and family in the Delaware area but are very excited about our new adventure as a family. We will be back to visit no worries.
Stay tuned for updates on the move and once we are there we will send pictures. Phil picked the place out without Stacey seeing it except a few pictures. Hopefully we have similar taste.

1st mom birthday

Today started out kind of crazy with Phil sick, Hudson spitting up on everything, and a crazy day at work…but it ended very well…and thank goodness because it was my first birthday as a mom. Yeh the kids are all that matters anymore and I am totally ok with that. (can we also stop counting my age?)
Phil is finally feeling somewhat better, Hudson has been happy since he woke up this morning and Phil is the best husband ever! He got me a really yummy cake and the cutest onsie for Hudson.
I have been so busy we are behind on Hudson’s weekly photos so I added them as well. He loves broccoli for one of his first foods. He is getting so big and showing his personality – the charmer.

Homemade baby food

Hudson has been demanding more and more food, so we decided to try some puréed veggies. First up – sweet potatoes.

The first step was to soften the potato by roasting it in the oven. Then after it was cooled, the skin was removed and it was puréed in the Cuisinart food chopper. Water was added until it was the desired consistency.

Hudson ate ‘em up.

1st Christmas

Hudson’s 1st Christmas was very magical for us this even though he had no idea what was going on. He loves all his new toys and we love all his new clothes. Thank you to everyone that made it a special holiday for him.

We went to a lot of family events this year and Hudson got to finally meet a lot of family members. Below are pictures from most of the events.

Hudson is now 16 weeks old.

He is using his voice more and more each day and keeping mom and dad very busy!

Hudson at 15 weeks is sitting up some, reaching for everything and just started laughing. He is such a blessing to us. We will try and post Holiday stuff soon.

Hudson 14 weeks

Hudson is 14 weeks old on Christmas Eve! We are excited to celebrate this season together as a family.

This week Hudson had is 3 month appointment. He now weighs 14 lbs 12oz. And is 25 inches tall. Both are in the 75% on the charts.

We went to see some Christmas lights at one of our favorite places and Hudson loved all the lights.

Yesterday our friends Erin and Jon stopped by to meet Hudson. He matched Erin and loves the toy they brought him.

We have lots of fun family gathering festivities planned for the next few days so for now Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
